A Long Legged Myotis (Myotis volans) spotted under a bit of roof on my house this afternoon. I went out to take more pictures of some mushrooms along my driveway and I heard a really loud, very close squirrel. I turned around and there was this lovely bat!

I appreciate he was feeling uncomfortable so I used my farthest zoom and got out of there as soon as I could. Despite that, I got some excellent footage of the bat’s “Please would you kindly go away or I will bite you display”.

Definitely was not expecting this little guy. 🙂
